Toronto, ON – Crestview Strategy announced today that Michael Turner is joining Crestview Strategy as a Senior Advisor, with specific focus on supporting Christine McMillan in her role as the interim leader, expanding Crestview Strategy’s U.S. operations. Michael will advise clients and engage in the growth of our consultancy offering in the United States.
With over two decades of expertise in high-visibility and sensitive government and public relations issues, geopolitical advice and risk management, and strategic and crisis communications, Michael’s addition to the team brings unparalleled skills to our agency. Michael holds expertise in navigating the complex intersection of governments, Capitol Hill, business, civil society, think tanks, and the media.

A former U.S. naval officer, Michael is a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council and founder of Turner Global Solutions, providing strategic counsel to clients across high-stakes policy and reputational issues. Michael most recently served as Head of Communications and Spokesperson at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing – the State Department’s largest overseas communications operation. He has worked extensively in Washington, D.C., including in the intelligence community and as a senior policy advisor in Congress. Michael’s vast knowledge, across the political spectrum, spanning federal, state, and local levels, make him a valuable asset to Crestview Strategy’s clients.
