Find your next opportunity

Join a dynamic team shaping public policy and driving change. If you’re passionate about public affairs and eager to grow, reach out to us at careers@crestviewstrategy.com.

We are Crestview Strategy, a global public affairs firm with offices in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and the Gulf. We help organisations navigate political and regulatory environments, engage with government, and position themselves for long-term success across sectors including energy, infrastructure, health, and technology.

We are seeking a Consultant to work across government grants and public affairs, supporting clients on funding opportunities while contributing to broader engagement with government and policy.

At Crestview, you will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative team with opportunities to work across international markets and contribute to work that sits at the intersection of policy, politics and commercial outcomes.

The Opportunity

This role brings together two closely connected areas of work.

On one side, you will support clients to understand the policy environment, track political and regulatory developments, and engage with government in a way that is credible and effective.

On the other, you will work on grant and funding opportunities.  Strong grants work is about telling a compelling story that connects what a client is trying to achieve with what government actually wants to fund.

The connection between the two is where the work becomes interesting. Understanding government priorities, reading the policy environment and positioning a narrative clearly are what drive both effective engagement and successful funding outcomes.

Responsibilities of Our Consultants

  • Support the development of grant and funding applications, including drafting, structuring and refining submissions
  • Analyse grant guidelines and identify what matters from a policy and assessment perspective
  • Translate client business cases into clear, compelling narratives aligned to government priorities
  • Conduct research across policy, funding programs and industry sectors
  • Support government relations work, including stakeholder mapping, policy analysis and briefings
  • Manage multiple workstreams and deadlines, ensuring consistently high-quality output
  • Contribute to business development and the growth of Crestview’s grants advisory capability

Our Ideal New Team Member

This role is suited to someone who is interested in politics, policy and government, and who enjoys structured, analytical work with a high degree of attention to detail.

You might be a lawyer who has decided not to practise and is looking to apply your skills in a more commercial or policy-facing environment. You might be a recent graduate who has spent time in government, a ministerial office, a think tank or a related field and is looking for something more dynamic. You might be early in your career and looking for a role that combines detailed written work with exposure to how decisions actually get made.

What matters most is not a specific background, but attitude. We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and willing to get stuck in.

You will bring:

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to think in a structured and analytical way
  • High attention to detail and comfort working in documents and written materials
  • An ability to review qualitative and quantitative information sources, and synthesise relevant material into accurate and compelling narratives
  • Interest in government, politics and public affairs
  • Curiosity about how businesses operate and how they engage with government
  • Organisation, reliability and the ability to work at pace

What We Offer Our Team

  • Competitive total compensation package, including base salary and performance incentives
  • Career development opportunities, including mentoring and exposure to senior practitioners
  • The opportunity to work across both grants advisory and government relations
  • Exposure to high-impact client work across multiple sectors
  • Flexibility to work from home

Crestview Strategy is a global public affairs agency advising leading organizations on complex, high-stakes issues. With teams across Canada, the UK, the Gulf, and Australia, we help clients navigate reputation, policy, stakeholder engagement, and business-critical challenges in fast-moving environments.

As our Australia business continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Consultant to assist with business operations and client work and play a central role in how the business runs, scales, and serves clients.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who combines operational discipline, commercial instinct, and strong client-service judgment. You will work at the center of the Australia business, partnering with senior leaders to strengthen day-to-day operations, improve resourcing and performance processes, and support business growth. At the same time, you will remain close to the work through billable client support, proposal development, and business development activity.

If you are energized by building structure in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working across teams, and want to contribute to a growing international firm, we would love to hear from you.

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, with a dotted-line relationship to the Global Operations & Solutions Lead, this role works closely with Australia business leaders while staying connected to Crestview’s global operations function.

This is a hybrid operations and client-facing role. Approximately 20% of the role (subject to business needs) will be dedicated to billable client work, proposal support, business development, and other client-facing activity. That mix is intentional: we want this role to help shape how the business operates while staying grounded in the realities of client service and growth.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Scale Business Operations

  • Coordinate and oversee key operational functions, including facilities management, vendor relationships, administrative support, contract administration, IT coordination, compliance activities, and selected marketing support.
  • Drive operational excellence by improving processes, reducing administrative burden on senior leaders, and strengthening the overall effectiveness of the Australia business.
  • Support reporting, workflows, and business management through Microsoft 365 and Zoho applications, including CRM, Projects, and Expenses.

Drive Resourcing, Performance and Team Priorities

  • Lead resourcing activities across the Australia business unit, including staffing client engagements, monitoring utilization and team capacity, and supporting leadership in making informed resource allocation decisions that balance client delivery and profitability.
  • Administer and coordinate performance management processes, including PEAP administration, performance tracking, documentation, and support for performance improvement plans in partnership with business leaders and the Talent team.
  • Monitor operational metrics including utilization, hours tracking compliance, CRM data integrity, project administration, and adherence to business processes.

Support Client Delivery and Growth

  • Contribute directly to client delivery through billable consulting, project management, client service support, proposal development, account management support, and business development activities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of client needs and business operations by remaining actively engaged in client-facing work.
  • Support business growth by contributing to operational initiatives that improve profitability, efficiency, and overall service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working within a professional services, consulting, or agency environment, with a strong understanding of client service operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting resourcing, utilization, business operations, and performance management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable balancing internal operational priorities with external client-facing responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across leadership, operations, and client teams.
  • Experience using business systems and workflows, ideally including Microsoft 365 and CRM/project management platforms such as Zoho.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, support profitability, and enable business growth.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

From the beginning, I felt welcomed into an inviting and supportive environment where interns are encouraged to learn new skills, take on new challenges, and contribute in a real way.

Rather than simply observing, I was fully integrated into the project team and trusted with substantive work. This helped me build practical skills, strengthen my understanding of how public affairs works in practice, and gain insight into both the operational side of the work and the broader strategic thinking behind it.

What stood out most during my time at Crestview was the culture of support, learning, and collaboration. The team created an environment where I felt comfortable asking questions, expanding my knowledge, and growing through experience. Each new assignment gave me the opportunity to develop professionally and build confidence in my abilities.

My internship showed me what strong public affairs work looks like and confirmed my interest in continuing in this field. The experience gave me a strong foundation in public affairs, and I am now continuing to pursue my career at Crestview. I would highly encourage anyone interested in public affairs to apply to the Crestview internship program.”
