Overview

We are Crestview Strategy, a leading multinational public affairs agency with teams across Canada, United Kingdom, the Gulf and Australia. We work with some of the world’s most prominent organizations on complex, high-impact government relations and communications mandates.

We are looking for a forward thinking, operations driven leader to oversee our end-to-end business operations, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for our teams and clients.

The Director of Operations will own the systems, IT, marketing, spaces, vendors, and processes that keep our firm running smoothly. This role is for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, makes clear decisions with imperfect information, and builds scalable, documented operational foundations.

Role Description

The Director of Operations will lead all aspects of business operations across our Canadian and global offices, and partner with global teams where required. This includes facilities management, vendor relationships, procurement, IT operations, risk and compliance support, budgeting, and cross functional project leadership. You will ensure our people have what they need to do their best work every day. You will provide exceptional people management, delegate resources effectively, and roll up your sleeves when needed, while also being strategic in your role.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Own day-to-day business operations across offices, ensuring a seamless employee and client-facing experience.
  • Establish clear and practical operating procedures (prioritization, cadence, reporting) to manage competing priorities.
  • Partner with leadership and teams to solve operational issues quickly and design scalable processes.
  • Provide strong people leadership across the operations team—coaching, workload balancing, performance development, and resource planning.

Facilities Management

  • Lead office and space strategy, including leases, renewals, amendments, and critical dates.
  • Manage office builds, expansions, refurbishments, and moves end-to-end (design, furniture, access/security, readiness, launch).
  • Maintain workplace safety protocols, standards, and vendor-managed services across locations.
  • Own incident and outage response (facilities or IT), including communication and recovery plans.

Vendor and procurement management

  • Source, negotiate, and manage key vendors (facilities, cleaning, security, telecom, couriers, office services).
  • Define and enforce SLAs; track performance, escalate issues, and control scope/cost.
  • Lead procurement workflows and approvals to ensure speed, compliance, and cost discipline.

IT Operations

  • Oversee reliable day-to-day employee tech operations, including onboarding/offboarding logistics, asset tracking, and escalations.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements for internal and external IT partners.
  • Maintain device lifecycle processes and ensure strong access/security practices.

Risk Management and Compliance support

  • Manage insurance policies, renewals, and broker relationships; oversee claims and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans across business continuity, vendor risk, and physical security.
  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs, operational policies, and readiness plans.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Own operations budgets (facilities, IT operations, marketing, vendors, office services).
  • Manage forecasting, monitor variances, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Provide leadership with visibility into spend, commitments, and upcoming operational decisions.

Marketing and Events

  • Provide oversight of internal and external marketing operations to ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to support consistent brand experience across offices, events, and materials.
  • Plan and execute internal events and support large-scale company-wide gatherings.
  • Oversee logistics for external-facing events hosted by or supported by the firm.
  • Ensure all events reflect the firm’s brand, culture, and operational standards.

Cross-Functional Projects

  • Lead cross-functional operational projects from scoping to execution, including timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder management.
  • Partner with internal teams to support organizational growth, strategic planning, and operational readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in operations leadership, facilities management, vendor management, or IT/office operations ideally in professional services, consulting, or similarly fast-paced environments.
  • Strong ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate vendor agreements, and drive cost discipline.
  • Experience leading builds, relocations, or major workplace changes.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and comfort with rapid change.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with IT asset management and access/security tools is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to create impact, make sound decisions quickly, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
