Prior to joining Crestview Strategy, Ashton worked on Parliament Hill as a political aid responsible for parliamentary affairs and issues management for the Minister of National Revenue. Ashton was a legislative researcher in the Official Opposition Office in Prince Edward Island and served as campaign manager for a Conservative candidate in the 2015 General Election. Ashton continues to volunteer in electoral politics at the federal level and is a frequent media commentator – appearing on CBC, CTV, CPAC, CRFA, Zoomer Radio, and The Hill Times.
Ashton holds a Master of Political Management from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Prince Edward Island where he received the prestigious Wade MacLauchlan Raised Expectations Medal.
