Bryan N. Detchou is a Consultant with Crestview Strategy, based out of Ottawa.
Bryan provides critical perspectives on parliamentary affairs, public policy, and government relations. Bryan is passionate about facilitating collaboration between government and industry to improve policies that benefit citizens across Canada.
Bryan most recently worked as a Special Advisor at the Senate of Canada responsible for research and drafting assignments in service of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Office of the Governor General, and the Privy Council Office (PCO). Bryan previously worked in the Office of the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Office of a Senator from the Independent Senators Group (ISG), and the Office of the Usher of the Black Rod.
Prior to working in the Canadian political sphere, Bryan acquired significant experience in international criminal law and human rights, working as a Legal Intern at the International Criminal Court (ICC) while living in Europe. Currently, Bryan is a member of the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, the International Association of Penal Law, the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, and the Canadian International Council. Bryan was named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum in 2021 and is a mentor for the 1834 Fellowship Project with Operation Black Vote Canada.
Bryan holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Ottawa, and a Master’s in World Politics and International Relations from l’Università degli Studi di Pavia. Born in Quebec City and raised in Ottawa, Bryan is fluent in French and Italian.
