Bio
Conal Slobodin is a Vice President at Crestview Strategy, advising clients on integrated government and stakeholder relations strategies that support corporate objectives, business growth, and policy outcomes. His work focuses on legislative, regulatory, and policy change, as well as funding partnerships and profile-building initiatives. Conal’s practice spans natural resources, immigration, industrial policy, health and life sciences, and northern affairs.
Before joining Crestview, Conal led federal and Ontario government relations at Walmart Canada, where he helped navigate major disruptions and public policy reforms across the retail, labour, and supply chain sectors.
Earlier in his career, Conal was an Account Director at a national government relations and strategic advisory firm, where he led mandates involving amendments to the Criminal Code of Canada, establishing bespoke immigration pathways, and supporting major investments and transactions. He also held roles in Natural Resources Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and Global Affairs Canada.
Conal was recognized as one of Ottawa’s Forty Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade and as an Emerging Leader in politics and government by The Peak in 2024. He serves on the Board of Directors of Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners and, in 2025, was appointed to the Yukon Aviation Advisory Committee by the Yukon Minister of Highways and Public Works. He is originally from Whitehorse, Yukon.
