Dale Palmeter is a Senior Consultant with Crestview Strategy, based in Halifax.
Dale has more than three decades of experience advising senior elected officials and public servants at both the provincial and federal government level. His insights into how government functions, his deep understanding of the policy development process and his familiarity with the legislative system, helps clients understand how to advance their interests and ensure that their voices are heard.
Most recently, Dale was the Principal Secretary to the Premier of Nova Scotia, where he was responsible for delivering policy priorities and guiding budget preparations. His federal government experience includes serving as a senior advisor in the Office of the President of the Treasury Board. In this role he also worked extensively with Atlantic Canadian industry organizations and private and public sector entities to help them achieve their policy and project objectives.
He was a member of the Atlantic Growth Strategy development team working in consultation with members of the senior federal bureaucracy that charted an economic growth strategy for the region. He has served as Principal Assistant to a Member of Parliament, EA to a federal party leader and was a Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Public Works Canada. He has managed more than 12 election campaigns where he honed his skills in message development and voter engagement techniques.
Dale earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Acadia University and a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management from Mount Saint Vincent University. As a food aficionado, he completed courses at the New York Cooking School and thrives on the “try anything once” approach to cuisine.
