Melanie Scott is an Executive Assistant with Crestview Strategy, based out of the Calgary office.
Melanie offers 15 years of experience in government, stakeholder relations, and operational excellence. Prior to joining Crestview Strategy, Melanie served as a Chief of Staff to an Alberta mid-sized city where she played a lead role in ensuring the success of the City Governance department. As a member of the Corporate Outcome and Strategy Team, Melanie took part in the strategic planning, communication, and execution of initiatives for both the organization and the community.
Melanie has worked in several roles within the public sector, including managing the constituency office of a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, as well as providing Executive Administrative support to various elected officials. These roles involved connecting with stakeholders, reviewing legislation, monitoring the rapidly changing political environment, as well as managing, resolving, and providing guidance on complex issues. She has also served as a Campaign Manager for both provincial and municipal elections.
Melanie has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Athabasca University, as well as a Master’s Certificate in Municipal Leadership from York University.
