Rob’s career spans over 20 years in leadership roles in politics, corporate communications, public affairs, and business strategy, in both the private and public sectors. He brings his unique business perspective to clients from both the commercial and political worlds.
Rob joined Crestview Strategy from the leadership team of a large multi-national public relations agency. Before that, as an independent consultant, he provided clients with corporate reputation, issues management, and strategic public affairs advice. He has acted as the lead executive responsible for brand reputation, strategic planning, investor relations, and regulatory affairs for some of Canada’s largest companies including Hudson’s Bay, Loblaws, and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
Prior to these corporate officer roles, Rob was the Director of Public Affairs, Canada, Edelman Public Relations Worldwide; Director of Communications and Press Secretary for the Mayor of the City of Toronto; Principal at the communications firm, Perkins Moore Associates; and a senior political aide to a Federal Member of Parliament.
He has also been a leader in the global corporate social responsibility and sustainability community. He has served on the Board of Directors of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility since 2005, as well as acting as Interim President & CEO and is currently the Board Chair. Rob also serves on the boards of many community and not-for-profit organizations including the Canadian Journalism Foundation; Community Living Ontario; Evergreen Foundation; and the YMCA of Greater Toronto.
