Deirdra Tindale is a seasoned public affairs and communications professional with close to two decades of global experience.
Deirdra expands Crestview Strategy’s presence in Quebec, where she serves as a senior resource in supporting clients across Canada, Australia, and globally. Fluently bilingual in both English and French, she spent almost 15 years as an in-house expert in the global resources sector at BHP, Rio Tinto, and the world’s largest bulk export port authority, Pilbara Ports.
From campaign war rooms and ministerial offices to boardrooms and active mining areas, Deirdra has advised CEOs, operational leaders, Cabinet Ministers, the Premier of Western Australia, and the Prime Minister of Canada. As a senior staffer in the Harper government, Deirdra led communications on key files for the Ministers of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Industry, and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.
Deirdra’s decade in Australia offers invaluable experience with communications and stakeholder engagement planning, ranging from major infrastructure projects to approval and permitting processes, key partnerships and incident communications, across both internal and external communications.
Deirdra holds a bachelor’s degree from Laurentian University and a master’s degree from Université Laval. She has completed the University of Oxford’s Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme, the Canadian Investor Relations Institute’s Essentials of Investor Relations and the Institute for Governance (IGOPP)’s Corporate Governance Essentials course. She sits on the Board of Volunteer Canada and of the Organizing Committee of the Australia-Canada Economic Leadership Forum.
