Mina Atia is a Consultant with Crestview Strategy based out of Halifax.
Mina brings an analytical perspective to strategic communications. Passionate about data-driven insights and reporting, he provides strategic recommendations to effectively manage brands, issues, content, and channels, ensuring communications plans result in a return on objectives as well as investment.
Mina’s broad experience in media relations, paid media, user experience, and digital media makes him a champion of integrated content and communication strategies. Having worked most recently as a Communications Advisor for an energy utility, Mina drove results for its brand strategy and content management by leveraging practices in social intelligence, image and community management, and media relations. Prior to that, he led the digital communications strategy at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.
Mina holds a Master’s in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University, with a research focus in B2B social media engagement; an advanced diploma in Public Relations from Nova Scotia Community College; and a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Psychology and English from Dalhousie University.
Mina holds certificates in Foundations of Public Participation from IAP2; Crisis & Risk Management and PR Media Monitoring & Customer Reporting with Meltwater; and Advanced Google Analytics. Born in Cairo, Egypt and raised in Halifax, Mina is fluent in Arabic and English with intermediate proficiency in French.
